Neither of those is sustainable. You can start at one extreme, but must find
the way to correct the deficiency, whether it's in the earnings, or in the work satisfaction.

Doing "what you love" will become a drag if you're constantly in financial stress. Earning buckets of money has no meaning if you're conflicted in how or why you earn it.

Maybe a better question is which starting place would you prefer? Are you going to work hard enough to beat the crowd and become business-savvy with one of your passions, or are you going to work and stretch to create a niche that satisfies you in an otherwise soul-sucking industry?
