The culture difference between Bronco and Kalani is polar opposite...
I’m not saying everything about Broncos culture was right or that everything about Kalani’s culture is wrong but hearing Chaz’s words and witnessing both coaches practices myself it’s clear the mentality. Bronco knew that to compete he was gonna have to bleed the turnip dry.

At Broncos practices all 11 on defense played thru the whistle to the ball or you were sitting. You had to memorize the entire defensive assignments before you could touch the field. There was kicking, punching, fighting, ripping helmets off each other... all out brawls. Bronco would actually hold his coaches back and let it go on an extra 10-15 seconds before breaking it up. That’s how he got the fight in all the dogs... every practice was a war!

Kalani has early whistles, touch football, guys on the field that don’t even know their jobs let alone the other 10 players, no accountability for 11 hats to the ball even in practice! It’s pretty relaxed.

I love Kalani and if I could give him any advice then it would be that he’s got to change the culture of practice before anything on the field changes. Lose the Mr nice guy demeanor and the team will follow. So far the only player he’s even called out is the punter... smh.

Oh, and until you get your defense out of the bottom 10 against the rush in all of college football then I might stay a little quiet about my thoughts on the offense and hold homeboy Tuiaki accountable... I’ve never seen a BYU team run over continuously like we’re seeing this year.

I love my Cougs and just want to see this all fixed! I hope KS can figure it out.
