but the loss to USF is just inexcusable. No way BYU beats BSU or USU in my opinion. I wouldn't be surprised at losses beyond that, either. I just think the team has tanked. Blame it on injuries - I suppose - which has some merit. But, I'm not seeing good coaching. I mean, they got a penalty for delay of game on the first play from scrimmage last Saturday. How does that happen? BYU won't fix red zone issues this season. The issues are chronic. Having receivers repeatedly make cuts in front of the down markers on critical downs, killing drives, no adjustments on defense when it is obvious the other team is just going to run the ball (as USF did beginning mid-way through the third quarter) - awful.

Bad coaching is the consistent issue. There's no fixing that.
