Saw an interesting NFL stat that also applied to BYU last week.
NFL teams are 90-1 since 1991 when they win time of possession, total yards, turnovers, pick up 25 first downs, and convert at least 10 or more 3rd down attempts. Dallas' loss to the Jets on Sunday is the one loss.

On Saturday, BYU won TOP 37 minutes to 22 minutes, total yards 439 to 315, had 1 fewer TO, had 26 first downs, and converted 12 third downs. Reminds me of the time we lost to Boise, even though they had like 5 TOs and two of those were pick 6s. Really snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

On a bit of the positive note, BYU had been quite poor and picking up third and short. However, in this game on 3rd and 3 or less BYU was 7/7. So that's something. Fingers crossed coaches can find ways to improve in other problem areas as well.
