There was a miscommunication between the coaches upstairs and the coaches on the field and somehow that translated into Danny Jones coming on to punt. He then very publicly called out Jones for fumbling the snap saying, "he has one job, and I will tell that to him face to face...".

It was an odd comment that both threw his coaches under the bus and threw his punter under the bus.

From my perspective this was another example of why Sitake is not a head-coach. Those types of comments are the kinds that should be made in the privacy of his office, or the locker room. Not on a radio show. We get it, Danny Jones flubbed the snap and he shouldn't have, and he deserves to hear about it from the coaches. But that play wasn't what cost us the game. There were a thousand other things that went wrong. What about a delay of game penalty on the very first play of the game? Who's fault was that? Why wasn't that person thrown under the bus publicly? What about the ridiculous lack of effort by Beau Tanner? Why wasn't he called out for that? That was far more egregious than Danny Jones' muffed snap. And by the way, you had already admitted that you didn't intend to have Danny Jones in the game for that and there was a mess up with the coaches. Sounds to me like the error was yours, not Danny Jones'.

Anyway---I love Kalani Sitake the player, love Kalani Sitake the BYU fan, absolutely do not think that Kalani Sitake the head coach is in a position where he will be able to succeed.
