After watching the game again I think think this was more of an effort problem than a coaching problem. (sure bring effort = coaching at me).

• Grimes called an excellent game. He really did. It wasn't the same 10 plays throughout the game, like usual. Playcalling was varied throughout the game. And it was obvious a lot of plays were put in place to ensure Hall was successful. We saw some plays that we haven't seen before.
• Special teams lost the game for us probably.  Horrible kick coverage across the board. We're lucky the kick returner didn't have his shoes tied. Bad snaps, bad holds, bad catches, ugh. Katoa was great though. 
• Wr's are super slow getting off the ball. But they make great effort catching the ball when covered. Just pass to Shumway or Milne. They'll come up with a way to catch it. 
• Hall and Romney obviously didn't have a lot of confidence in themselves. They had guys open but passed it to the guy they wanted to instead. 
• Again Bushman gets a lot of attention - sometimes three guys are covering him. It isn't fair really
• It doesn't matter who plays Right guard - that is a really weak spot on our O-line - can't run or pass block. It's a problem on almost every play.
• Our Cb's and Safeties are absolutely terrible. It's atrocious in fact. I'm now convinced that Tuiaki's whole scheme is to cover that up - sink back the linebackers to help out. 
• Linebackers, except for Wilger, were careless in coming to help with the run this game. It took them a while to figure it out. I believe this problem stems from rotating out the linebackers during the game so much. Lamb and Tuiaki need to go with the best three or four and ride them most of the game. 
• Effort. If you go back and watch the game there was so much lackadaisical effort out there -, especially on defense. In fact, There are a few players out there that get significant playing time that really shouldn't at all. 

After watching the game again. I don't know - I'm actually more optimistic about playing Boise State then on Sunday. I think we could pull off an upset. I'll adress that in a future post.
