I used to think listing missions could be awkward, but my thinking has changed.
As I review a lot more resumes in my career than I used to, there certainly is a trend to list more things that give more color about a person. This is a good thing. I'm having more and more staff that can't handle the stress of professional career and they give out at some of the worst times blaming it on "anxiety" or stress. I try to look for ways to filter out the less resilient candidates as it is a huge pain when employees tell you they need a "life break" which inevitably comes at the worst possible times, so anything I can see that demonstrates they can get through tough situations is a good thing, and I think for some people (not everyone for sure) talking about a mission experience can certainly demonstrate that.
