every salesman has to "go talk to my manager". We were briefly looking at a car last night and the younger sales guy had to go talk to his manager three times. Tonight, different dealer and salesman, but dude still needed to talk to his manager about who knows what. I was like, "hey, we just want to look at (a specific car) and shouldn't need your managers permission."

And, why does it seem so difficult to answer simple questions. Like, "how much will it be to purchase an extended warranty?" Straight forward question, "need to talk to my manager" answer. Shopping for a car can be torturous.
