I was software guy at a company that was overbearing with paperwork and stupid rules. I had to work weekends now and then because of the overall incompetence of everybody.

Finally I just stopped coming into work and when I did come in, I came in pretty late. I was basically doing nothing in my job.

Management took notice and decided I was not being challenged enough. So they promoted me to a job I didn't really want. In the end it didn't matter as the building caught on fire and ended everything.
