Ideas on how to bend a steel/chrome bumper closer to back where it should be?
My daughter had an accident awhile back, and I haven't replace the bumper yet. It was bent in, and I didn't realize it was probably wearing on the old tires. We just replaced the tires yesterday, and they're bigger, so the rub is worse (only at sharp turns though). I don't want to drive the vehicle anymore until I can stop the scraping on the tire.

I've ordered a new bumper, but it won't be here until the 22nd at the earliest. So, I have the front end of my Suburban dismantled, and I'm wondering if I can somehow bend that left side back enough to reassemble and drive for a few days until the new bumper arrives.

Sledgehammer is my thought--any other options?
