My text "wrong number" story isn't as funny as gwalker's. There are still some kind, helpful people in the world
Last Sunday my daughter was home from BYU for dinner, and she told us she thought she had pinkeye. She's in the middle of a very stressful few weeks of school, so having to miss school for something like that was not desirable.

A former ward member is an eye doctor, so I texted the number I had for him in my phone. I texted something like, "Hi Tom, H might have pinkeye. How would we know for sure, and how should we treat it? Sorry to ask for help on a Sunday..."

This is the text thread snippet that shows the response. Certainly not amazing, but still pretty cool the person tried to help rather than just responding "wrong number".
