We pretended to be absolutely crappy for a month, only played prevent defense for over a month, lost to a couple of bottom feeders, and just acted like our coaches didn't have a clue.
I mean, imagine if Boise had come into the game expecting to see an aggressive, blitzing, 4-3 defense rather than the 3-8 prevent. Imagine if we'd been throwing to our TE all year, or calling designed run plays. They would have been so much better prepared.
We played the long con, and it paid off last night. Maybe our coaches do know what they're doing.
