Huh?
Whining?

Uh... the officials in fact did get parts of it critically wrong. Their mist egregious imho was the overturn of the spot and measurement. The spot may have been wrong, the chains may have been short but they followed a well established process of measurement. That process ruled a first down.

I found it odd that they could challenge after they used their last timeout but maybe there is some accommodation for that.

The standard To overturn is indisputable evidence and there was no better angle on the field than the sideline judge. No camera had as good a view. He puts the ball down according to his professional judgement. Wherever he places the ball that is that. The spot can be Challenged and overturned with INDISPUTABLE video evidence. Not pretty clear evidence with triangulation but indisputable evidence. There was disputable evidence but nothing more than that.

They simply need to say the standard for overturning a call on the field is simply whatever they think the right call is and get rid of thus farce of “indisputable”.

They also need to get rid of conference based officials with a ridiculous conflict of interest.
