Baylor Romney had a PER of about 155 vs Boise State. PER of 145+ has almost always resulted in a BYU win going back in history.
His PER vs USF was a respectable 135 or so.
Hall has a lower season PER and did not come near 155 in his start.
Wilson has been up and down. He had 140+ in a game or two. He had low to terrible PER in others. His season PER is not impressive.
Someone in another thread posted that Wilson played well vs Washington. Well. He was just over 120. Not considered playing well.
It remains to be seen whether Baylor Romney can deliver a winning PER across several games, but he is the PER leader this season.
Wilson in the bowl game had phenomenal PER. Not so much this year. He was up and down in 2018.
Someone young with good eyes might want to posts exact game by game PER going back to 2018 and include Mangum. It will show how up and down our QB play has been and how it relates to wins. If feeling really ambitious, show opposing QB PER and final score.
