Are newer helmets helping? What else can be done? Tacklers are not allowed to drive the QB into the ground. Defenders cannot hit a qb in the head or neck area. The play is blown dead when in the grasp. I'm not sure what else can be done other than make a rule that QBs cannot be knocked to the ground. Is there some kind of agility/tumbling training QBs can do so they don't whiplash the back of their head into the turf when they are driven backward? That seems to be the source of most of the concussions QBs suffer now.
