to exclude non P5 teams the opportunity to play for the National Championship. I never disputed that. My issue was that the system was then tweaked solely due to BYU's 1996 and 2001 teams. That's what stoils was intimating. BYU was one of many non P5 teams over the course of several years that got shut out of big bowls. That collective group, which included BYU, contributed to the birth of the BCS.
