Aye, too late. The AAC just signed a $1 billion media contract.
I don't see how you could convince any AAC teams or ESPN that a new conference is a good idea.
I could see the AAC go for a western expansion though. THAT is how ESPN could actually retain what it needs for the West Coast inventory and enhance its $1 billion investment. Even better if BYU and Gonzaga were to join with a couple other western teams as part of AAC basketball!
