What are you talking about? I'm talking about leading up to 2004
Houston - well, they did have a 10 win season in 1990, so you got me there, they were really pushing the envelope

East Carolina - they had a magical 11 win season in 1991 and a 9 win season in 1999, so yeah, the change was all about them

Toledo - a couple 10 win season in 2000 and 2001, nobody cares about a team from the MAC

Tulane - in 1998 they did go 11-0 in CUSA against no ranked teams and their marquee OOC game against Rutgers, nobody cares; they averaged 4 wins the 10 years before and after that season; again, they weren't creating change

Air Force - they did go 11-1 with a loss to TCU, and then a WAC championship game win, I'll give you points for that one

Boise State - 2002 went 11-1 against the WAC 2.0 (basically Big Sky at that point) and lost their only real game by a lot to Arkansas. Finished the regular season ranked 23rd. Does that merit a BCS/Alliance bowl? 2003 went 12-1, lost to 5 loss Oregon State but did beat an 8 loss BYU that used 4 QBs in the game, along with WAC 2.0 (Big Sky)

Were any of those teams creating a need for "inclusion?" Heck no.

I will repeat again though, you are incapable of learning/believing because you are who you are.
BYU 1996 ranked #5 (13 wins) at end of regular season (technically could have qualified for an Alliance bowl game if one more game would have fallen into place, I remember watching the close finish after the WAC championship game that if it would have gone the other way would have let BYU into the Alliance); but no Alliance game

BYU 2001 - 12-0, ranked #9, snubbed for whatever the BCS was called, PRIOR to any losses.

Two of these things are not like the others (excluding Air Force).
