ChiCityCoug Walk-on
I was listening to ESPN this morning on my drive to work and they were talking

about the Bears (this post is mostly about BYU football I promise). There was something interesting they kept talking about. They feel that Trubisky is an extremely talented QB and that Matt Nagy is an offenive genious (allegedly). But Trubisky is not getting any better. They hypothisized that perhaps Nagy is too smart and not simplifying the offense enough for Trubisky.

It was so crazy because you could have replaced Trubisky with Mangum and Nagy with Detmer and the same conversation was had 100 times a day on CB during 2017.

But my main point is, the problem has not gone away. Why does BYU have such a challenge developing and using the talent we have. I truly believe we have some great talent on this team. Just look at our stable of QBs, when has BYU had three great athletes at that position that have caused people to question which one should start? I love to watch college football and it seems to me the successful programs (outside the top 5 or 6) dont have a huge different in talent level so how do some programs pull talent out of kids and others waste it?

I understand the fact that BYU will most likely always have an LDS coach and I am fine with that (unppular opinion alert). But we should then shell out for the best position coaches we can find and not just former BYU guys.

Anyways, I support this staff and hope they can win out. I think Kalani is an awesome guy but really hoping he can turn a corner and start getting his team to play better against even the lowest teams on out schedule.
