This is a little embarrassing, but I was once injured in high school, celebrating after a big play.
It was after throwing a two- point conversion to tie an important game. I ran to the sideline and got a stinger when celebrating with a teammate. My arm went numb and I had a bad headache. I stayed in and played because I didn't know better, but I totally understand how a freak accident can happen outside of when we think it "should."

I hope he's okay. I had three diagnosed concussions in high school, but never had any problems in college. I wish someone would have helped me understand risk and reward better when I was neck-deep in it. I hope to see him playing soon, but more importantly, I hope for the best him.
