1) the senator twist at the end was predictable and not needed. Just felt like a hey let's throw it in there for one more gotcha moment. Felt like it could have been better had they used the Philadelphia thing to lead to a cliffhanger to next season. The next thing Jack Ryan was going to investigate and take down.

2) i thought it was funny that they felt the need to hire an army to raid a prison in the middle of nowhere, but when it came to raiding the presidential palace it was like "we got this."

Enjoyed it overall. Lots of fun.
