There has been a lot of discussion and speculation about both the offense and defense in recent weeks.
Is Grimes no longer calling plays? Is it a team effort? Why is he now on the sidelines instead of in the booth?
What has caused the improvement in the defense? Has Kalani gotten more involved? Has Tuiaki finally determined that some changes need to be made?
What is clear is that both the offense and defense have performed significantly better in the last two weeks against Boise St and Utah St. Given that fact, why not just let the season play out and then let Kalani make whatever decisions make sense for the program. He obviously knew that things needed to change on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. It certainly appears that he's taken some appropriate steps to address things. That gives me hope that after the season he'll make whatever decisions make sense for the program going forward.
