1) While he does interview members of the team Wrubell isnt a journalist he’s a broadcaster/color commentator for the school, and like it or hate it, it’s his job to put a positive spin on the team.

2) Holmoe, coaches, and the players arent kept sheltered in some safe space free from hearing scrutiny, they are well aware of the issues surrounding the team and school THEY ARE ACTUALLY PART OF, they don’t need obnoxious fans interrogating them every chance they get.

3) Kalani and the rest of the coaching staff, including those who aren’t good at coaching still know more about football than 99% of fans, there is nothing a fan could tell them they don’t already know. They know the Defense sucks, they know Toledo and USF are bad losses, and they know their jobs are very much contingent on performing well. No one is stroking their egos saying all is well. Heck, if CB is any indication of fan reaction on sites like Twitter; one bad play and the entire staff gets 50+ private messages and tweets about how crappy they are.
