Look up some of the comparisons to other mattresses on YouTube. The original purple mattress fit us best. Based on what I read the purple 2 wouldn't have made a difference for us. One of the reviews we saw said the purple 2 wouldn't have been that much different since neither of us weigh over 220 lbs. Do your own research though.
