We all know that the rush 3, drop 8 is like the most perfect defense ever. I mean, look what it did to SoCal, USU, and now Liberty.
So, here’s the deal. The scrum play gets about a dozen yards in practice every time against the most perfect defense ever. In theory, it should be the only play needed to drive the entire length of the field. What has the coaches dumbfounded is why the players continue to not execute it correctly in live games.
The only way to solve this is to keep running it in games until the players finally execute it just like they do in practice. The logic is sound.
