I can only imagine hearing things like:
“I was really impressed by the A+ fans around me that didn’t boo when we threw our seventh interception of the game”
“At least we don’t have to play in Laramie”
“We’re just going vanilla on the playbook this year to keep teams off guard for next year”
“I love all the experience our underclassmen are getting this season”
“The energy our guys had when we had the lead in the third quarter was amazing”
“We covered the spread in more than half our losses this year”
“Just think of the memories these guys are making visiting these road venues”
“The marching band was on point at halftime”
ETC ETC ETC
It’s perfectly normal and expected that many are going to be disappointed in their team when they’re just over .500 for the season — and over multiple seasons of their current coach’s tenure.
Keep sipping the kool-aid until more are ready to drink with you, and congrats on being content or at least incredibly patient with mediocrity — it’s a trait that is probably worth its weight in some precious metal.
