Next year should absolutely be your best chance to end the streak in quite a while.
But assuming your'e right and there are two guaranteed losses and 5 tossups, your expectation is 4-1 in the 50-50 games? Seems unfair. If you go 50-50 in those 5, that's 3-2 or 2-3, so 3-4 or 2-5 overall should be the expectation.
