attendance, tv viewership, number of living alumni, etc.) completely dwarf every G5 program. There's only one or two (usually just one) program in the west that draws better than we do. Our revenues even match a couple P5 programs, and we carry no debt. As for the product on the field, we've had very, very few losing seasons over the past several decades. We're not basking in near constant national rankings like we used to, and just had our worst season in ages recently, but overall we're a solid program on the field. Not where we all want to be right now and independence does pose challenges (although it's not like being G5 doesn't bring its own massive challenges), but BYU has been consistently winning for a long, long time now.
If we're having an existential crisis, then more than half of D1 football programs are already 6 feet under.
