Maybe I’m being a BYU homer, but all teams rise and fall.
Look at historically great programs like Tennessee, Nebraska and Florida State right now, not to mention other Power 5 programs like Ole Miss, UCLA etc etc.
My personal guess is as long as Whitt is coaching Utah, they will continue to rise. BYU still has a name brand and if we can find the right coach/ QB combo we may have a run when Utah is a bottom dweller of the PAC.
We will probably never have a shot at the Playoff but competing against our quality schedules we can be perennially ranked again.
