when it seems clear he was the biggest problem on offense. The Broncos look like an 8-10 win team with Flacco on the bench. Losing to a top playoff team on the road is excusable. But spending that much time and money on an aging QB only to have him lose his job to a young guy again just irks me (he was about to lose his job whether injured or not). They had the pieces to have a decent season, but once again terrible QB play tanked the offense.
The only real chance at QB success I see for the Broncos is to try and sign a big free agent, or make a blockbuster trade, for a player that has already developed into a good QB. They’ve been terrible at developing QBs themselves. Maybe Dak Prescott will hold off until free agency, or maybe they could even acquire Matt Ryan from a bad Falcons team which needs to get younger. I’m just tired of seeing them waste good talent on terrible quarterback play.
