BYU doesn't control media rights for away games.

The issue with the MTN network was those were for home games. Our media coverage for home games is definitely an upgrade, and has been better for away games by virtue of who we have scheduled, despite these two games this year.

Even with ESPN+ and flosports you can still access the game, with the MTN that wasn't always the case.

Home team has always determined TV. Has nothing to do w/independence.

Few contract negotiations are, but things such as TV coverage are worth it.
