is BYU defends better. Barcello is everything that I hoped Nick Emery would be willing to be and that gives BYU at least one good perimeter defender. Neither Toolson nor Haws are good defenders but they are making an effort to be the best they can. I do think that Pope has more excitement/intensity (there is power in change) and I think that is translating to a better effort. Considering BYU has nobody to protect the rim and the lack of quickness in Haws and Toolsen BYU will be susceptible to penetration all year, but I think that is better than leaving guys with open 3's.
