pick the one that sounds correct. That's the way it was thought to me. So:
A "The doctor told I that our child was sick." - Nope. Obviously wrong even though it kind of sounds ok when coupled with the wife.
B. "The doctor told me that our child was sick." - Yes. Except reverse it to "my wife and me"
C. "The doctor told myself that our child was sick." - No. It's pretty rare that using "myself" in a sentence is the right thing to do. Unless you went to business school, in which case you have to say it all the time.
