DISCLAIMER: This is not a join the MWC thread... though I do love me some AAC 🙂

Sitting at 6-4 with an upcoming game against the worst team in the history of FBS doesn't exactly move the needle for me. Once BYU lost a game, it became the season of making the Hawaii bowl. I miss following the conference race for my team, and the rival teams in the conference/division.

Here are some teams with 4 or more losses that are still in their conference races:
Hawaii 7-4
Nevada 6-4
USU 6-4
Miami 6-4
W Kentucky 6-4
Toledo 6-4
Ball St 4-6
USC 7-4
Ark St 6-4

Unlikely that any of these teams still make thier season "special" outside of maybe USC and Miami, but they get to play for something. They can be a spoiler in a conference championship game. They can knock off a conference rival, watch the standings of the rest of the conference and the players have a reason to play what otherwise might be throw away games. 

Nothing to do with the MWC, though those were fun times with Utah, TCU etc. It could be anything - I wish BYU were in the Big12 and even at 6-4, they had a shot to ruin Oklahoma's or Baylors season etc. Same goes for the Pac12, or the American. I really miss the fun of the conference race.
