intention of marrying? Because you fear that wouldn’t be able to find another girl to date? Or because you feel “comfortable” or “complacent” with her.
This post might be uncomfortable for some.
I fear the same principle might be fueling Holmoe’s motive for the extension. I understand that there seems to be a lack of premier LDS head coaching candidates. It could be viewed as the safer choice to keep Kalani. But during such average-ness, such mediocrity in the BYU program, couldn’t it be said that there would be no better time to take a chance on someone, something different?
I honestly hope Kalani can find consistent success. Not 7-5 success. But achieving a few 10+ win seasons. I hope he finds a way to lead BYU to a “special” season. He is a passionate man who loves BYU football with all of his heart. He loves his team. The team loves him. He is charismatic. The might be no one that is more “BYU” than Mr. Kalani Sitake.
But we all know what the definition of insanity is. We all called for Bronco’s head because the program seemed like it was stalling. But 4 years later, have we made any substantial progress? We seem to be in the same spot we were 4 years ago, even 9 years ago. Many would say we are currently in a worse spot than we were 4 or 9 years ago.
