LaVell struggled building the program.  I think Kalani is facing even tougher challenges than 5 decades ago.   And who would you turn to.   If you send Kalani away you better have a candidate in the wings.   The past few weeks have convinced me that Kalani has earned the extension.   He needs to beef up his defensive coaches but I am sure he knows that.
