When a coach is fired, most recruits stick even though the head coach is guaranteed to be gone. When you have the coach still in place without a contract, yes their is uncertainty, but even less disruption in the current recruiting class. It might impact a few still deciding, but that could be good or bad.
Listening to posts like this you'd think BYU had changed its name to KSU and the only reason we have a football program is because of the coach.
