I moved up to North Central Idaho about 18 months ago, and everybody here hunts, so I decided I had to try. This year the purpose was to try hunting to see if I could stomach killing an animal and enjoy the meat afterward. I have a little bit of land, and every day I see at least 5-10 deer around my house. After the BYU game on Saturday, me and a friend went out on my back porch, watched the deer come down from the neighbor's property, and I got a doe from my porch. It wasn't a large buck, but I got it right through the heart at 70 yards, which I was proud of. It was a ton of fun and next year will be heading up to try my hand at elk.
