Ok so with all sincerity and no sarcasm how would you compare them?

Texas tech and ole miss are probably going to end up with 4 wins each. Michigan state is probably as likely to get to 6 wins as BYU is to get to 8. I could buy an argument that a 6-6 Michigan state team is better than an 8-4 BYU team. But you gotta admit when you compare wins between the two teams, BYU has the better wins. Tennessee is likely to be a bowl team, USC is a pretty good and so is Boise. MSUs Best win is probably going to be western Michigan or Illinois.
