SDSU vs. BYU pretty close game down the stretch and if I recall Toolson had a critical TO got doubled and tried to throw over the top and ball was stolen.
Houston game last possession before TJ's game winner and gets his pocket picked and we were fortunate the dude carries the ball and turns it back over.
Then last night makes the dumbest behind the back pass ever that leads to a easy bsu bucket and crap shooting the rest of the way because we are scrambling.
All of these were at such critical junctures that they were the proverbial nail in the coffin, save the game winner by TJ. Given were barely into the season and we already have a n=3 of crumbling under pressure. It seems he's not the go to guy Pope wants him to be.
So hopefully he can learn a lesson and stop turning the ball over generally, but especially at critical junctures. Or maybe Pope can realize it and get the ball out of his hands.
Don't get me wrong Toolson is decent, but right now too hot and cold and turnover prone at the worst times.
Also, is it just me, or does he always look exhausted? I feel like a lot this year he'll make a great move to the hoop and when he goes to elevate to finish his leg give out and he ends up "falling" away. Maybe it's a control issue, but curious if any others have noticed the same thing?
