I have a Ring video doorbell and another Ring camera above my garage. I live in a cul de sac so I catch everything coming in and out and I get alerted.

Plus as others said, motion activated lights. You have a bunch of options from Amazon. Obviously not helpful for daytime burglaries but at night time a burglar does not want big spotlights going off as he's trying to navigate around the property.

You can also get sensors for your doors/windows so you get notified or you can set an alarm to go off when one of them is opened and you have your system activated

Super creepy to find evidence of an obvious break in...sorry you're dealing with it. Ring has some great deals already and I'm sure more to come after Thanksgiving.
