Anybody ever tried this idea for sweet potatoes?

Put half of the added ingredients on or in the potatoes and then put the other half of those ingredients in a sauce that people can drizzle on (and/or mix in) to their liking.

I saw this recipe and was like, why didn't I ever think to do this:
