They said we weren’t worthy enough as a program to be equals in a P5 conference.
Now BYU fans claiming our dominance of this conference isn’t good enough.
That’s what’s great about Utah. We’ve always heard we did not belong because of the lack of history, brand, fan base and the weakness of our conference mates.
Yet that didn’t stop us from making history before.
Why stop now?
We may be the only school in the west to have dominated an SEC powerhouse on the big stage.
We don’t back down. Utah isn’t afraid to play the best programs in the country.
I love that. Even with what limited history we have, we’ve pushed the ceiling for small programs and punched the system in the mouth.
Now knocking on the door of being the first lower tier P5 to crack the playoffs.
Even if we don’t make it, just being in the conversation with blue bloods is amazing.
That said, Utah fans don’t really have to explain away a weak schedule. We’re just explaining the CFP committee’s and the other polls’ logic to those who want to vote based on brand name and history.
