I'm curious how you think a more "civilized society" would fund things like public roads, or schools, or law enforcement, or national defense. If what you're trying to say is that if all people were perfect angels, we either wouldn't need those things or people would voluntarily give exactly what was needed to fund them without any enforcement mechanism being required, I guess I can't argue with that.
