How good is my kid? Development and putting guys in the league are not BYU
If BYU is his best option, then sure. If he really isn't good enough to get playing time anywhere interesting, then an education from BYU and the atmosphere are both really big pro's.
But if my kid has a chance at being really good, and a school with good program shows interest, then BYU is not top of the list anymore.
