The “life experience” is one of the reasons I would possibly encourage him to go elsewhere.
I just don’t think BYU is a very natural life experience. It’s certainly clean and sheltered but not very indicative of real life.
If my kid wanted a completely LDS experience, BYU is obviously where I’d steer him. Not sure that’s life experience though. Depends on the perspective I suppose.
