pathetically bad teams, our coaches were dumb enough to get caught up in the idea that the team was playing well enough to waltz in and win. Then we faced a team that actually had a pulse and the coaches and players were caught with their pants down yet again.
There is no question that the offense was beyond terrible on Saturday. No team has scored less than 3 points on SDSU other than Weber State, who lost 6-0. Even New Mexico State, who couldn't beat most high school teams, put up 10 points on them. However, don't be fooled into thinking this was completely on the offense either. The defense gave up 13 points to the #119 (of 130) ranked team in scoring offense, who averaged 19.5 points/game, was playing a quarterback who hadn't taken a snap since his junior year in high school, and had a schedule that included the likes of Weber State, New Mexico State, Colorado State, San Jose State, Fresno State, and UNLV - all terrible teams with losing records (except FCS Weber State).
This game was an inexcusable flaming pile of garbage, and the blame ultimately falls on the coaches showing up with a team completely unprepared to play.
