Of course as other posters have discussed, it would depend on the kid's NFL potential as well as his other offers. If he had offers from, say Iowa, Purdue, Kansas State, North Carolina State, and BYU, I would tell him to visit each school, research each school's and coaching staff's histories of putting players in the NFL at his position, and decide based on how comforable he feels with the school, his head coach, his position coach, and his fellow recruits.

If he really doesn't like the school after he gets on campus, I figure if history is any guide, BYU seems pretty willing to take LDS transfers from P5 schools, so he could always look to transfer.
