In my opinion, the Utah/Oklahoma CFP debate will be decided tonight
At least we will get a strong indication.

I think their respective opponents in the conference championship games—Oregon and Baylor—are not so different in quality that it would justify one leaping over the other next week. Whoever is ranked higher between the two will more or less control their own destiny to either #4 or #5 (depending on how Georgia does this weekend).

Oklahoma’s win over Oklahoma State might be enough of a resume win that they could leapfrog Utah tonight. But unless there is a significant difference in “eye test” performance this weekend, there isn’t a huge gain to be had on paper.

It’s an interesting debate between the two teams.

(Personally, I hope Utah loses to drop completely out of the Playoff AND the Rose Bowl...the last thing I wanna do is to turn on the Rose Bowl parade and see a bunch of yewts in the crowd flashing the double-loser hand signal.)
