Not harping on BigY or any others who have experienced the same loss of fanhood within their ranks with this at all. I also understand that football is king and it's the cornerstone of BYU fandom, but it's not the only sport I tune into when it comes to BYU. My kids watch all the BYU athletics games I watch, so if you're only watching BYU football I could understand why your kid might not be happy with the product and defect towards another school. BYU basketball hasn't been amazing recently, but it's been a heck of a lot better than Utah's the last 10-15 years. And the other sports I mentioned BYU is light years ahead of Utah.

Sorry, but you can't just leave BYU football for Utah football and keep your toes in BYU's other sports. It's one school or the other, and you have to take all the good and all the bad with whatever side you're on. Hopefully you have your kids watch the game tomorrow night with you and they get to see another Yoeli posterizing dunk and 3-ball after 3-ball fall for BYU in another dominant rivalry win by the Cougs.
